Family of origin is where it all begins. Especially for the first seven years in the imprint stage. That is where the child is watching and learning from their parents and seeing the world for the first time. We get set in our routines as parents but our kids keep growing and evolving. Do we get stuck in our ways?
It is up to us, as their alliance, to keep up with our teens as they discover their own values, opinions, and personalities. It is happening at lightening speed, so be present, communicate intentionally, and have fun together. Set that foundation and nurture it well.
